清康熙二十三年，臺灣設一府三縣，雲林地方屬諸羅縣，乾隆二十六年在斗六置斗六門巡檢，光緒十三年臺灣設省並設雲林縣，光緒二十八年日本人由於當地抗日事件之激烈乃廢之設斗六廳及至光復後，民國三十九年調整行政區域恢復雲林縣，據史書記載於明天啟二年(一六二二年)，即有閩人顏思齊、鄭芝龍等登陸其地，是為大陸集體移民登陸臺灣本島墾殖之始。荷據時期，笨港為荷蘭海防要塞之一。 清代初期，由於漳泉移民大量由笨港進入，使得當時笨港渡口一帶成為一大聚落，居民大集，通漁鹽、興販外國，熙來攘往，立廟(媽祖廟)於鎮渡，及至乾隆十五年，笨溪(今北港溪)氾濫，河道南移，笨港街市為之劃分為二，於是又有北港、南港之分。 光緒二十年倪贊元所著「雲林縣採訪冊」則說：「北港街，印笨港，因在港之北，故名北港，東西南北共分人街，煙戶七千餘家郊行林立，塵市昆連，金、廈、南澳、安邊、澎湖商船，經常由內地載運布批、洋酒、雜貨、花金等項，來港銷售。轉販石、芝麻、奇糖、白豆出口。又有竹筏為洋商載運樟腦前赴安平，轉載輪船運往香港等處。百貨集，六時成市，貿易之盛，為雲邑冠，俗人呼為小臺灣焉。」由此可知，當時的笨港為雲嘉等地物，為安平之貨品轉運站。南街在今嘉義縣新港鄉，此兩地為昔日的產品出口港；與臺南的安平已有所經貿往來。 雲林縣除了西螺大橋之外，在北港鎮內興建一座橫跨雲林、嘉義兩縣串連北港溪兩岸的北港觀光大橋，橋身與雲林縣北港鎮朝天宮和嘉義縣新港鄉的水仙宮連接在一起，成為兩座廟宇朝聖據點之間的觀光大橋。大橋主體採尼爾森式鋼拱橋型式，共三個橋環，整體橋身則採龍型鋼拱，強調橋拱之龍的造型，南北總長度約為四百五十公尺，寬度約六公尺，色彩則以紅色、金色為主系列。 橋上除了設置景觀照明，還將配合當地文化活動與周圍造景等意象來設計，藉由夜間照明與燈光投射，使兩岸的景觀與朝天宮在白晝與夜間呈現完全不同的風貌。且大橋周遭也將設置觀天台、觀景台、自行車道、沿岸步道，以及生態與運動公園的附設建築，吸引更多來自全台各地的遊客前往，使雲林縣北港鎮更具濃厚的觀光風味。
雲林北港鎮市區 北港是古笨港的一部份，開發始於明朝天啟年間，清雍正之前港市盛極一時。明朝天啟元年（1621年）顏思齊、鄭芝龍率眾登陸笨港，並引三千移民入墾，為漢人大規模移墾臺灣之始祖。 康熙三十三年（1694年）樹璧和尚自湄洲，奉請媽祖赴臺傳香，笨港始建「笨港天妃廟」，即今「北港朝天宮」。不久靈氣遠播，至道光年即有詩人讚稱「北港靈祠冠闔臺」。 商業上，笨港因依畔笨港溪而興起，康熙年諸羅縣志即記稱：「笨港街、臺屬街市，此為最大」，乾隆年府志更記稱：「笨港街、俗稱小臺灣。」，除此之外也有「一府二笨」、「一府二笨三鹿港」之說。 北港溪一如臺灣其他溪河，非潦即旱；加上河道日益淤淺，離海愈遠。1750年因河道南移，將古笨港街一分為二。北街（即北港鎮）商業繁榮，南街（今嘉義縣新港鄉）則為官衙兵營所在地。至日治時期，海關撤站始喪失貿易功能。但仍為農產品集散中心，日治時期糖廠的設立對北港近百年來的經濟亦帶來不少助益，朝天宮的建廟、媽祖信仰的廣泛流傳，使得北港近三百年來成為台灣遠近馳名的港鎮。 每年農曆三月十九號到農曆三月二十三號期間，農曆3月19、20這兩天，北港家家戶戶都會辦桌請遠方來的親友共同享用美食，成千上萬的信徒湧入北港鎮上，各式特色的陣頭交織在北港的大街小巷當中，舉行盛大的繞境遊行，最大的特色是全國僅存的真人藝閣，主題都以傳統的中國民間故事為主，近年更有白雪公主等西洋童話故事主題，由小孩坐在特製的卡車上沿街灑糖果紙花等，是迎媽祖祭典中最光彩奪目的風景。北港的遊子也都會在這時回來故鄉，替媽祖祝壽，並與臺東炸寒單、鹽水蜂炮並稱為「臺灣三大炮」。 - 您好！感謝您的觀看！ 喜歡的話請記得幫我們按讚！訂閱！加分享～ Hello all my friends! This is my 13th marathon! I had been expecting it for so long. Now, finally I made it! Thank God! Thank Mazu! This time, the challenge was temperature! First, it was shiveringly cold. Then, the sun was out, and it became swelteringly and dizzingly hot! Against the hot sun, I tried my best and finally made it to the finish! It is worth mentioning that the organizer was quite generous. Food and drinks at each feeding station were quite sufficient and diverse. 拍攝地點青松餐廳位於雲林縣北港鎮文化路166號，營業時間：11:00~14:30、17:00-21:00。青松餐廳是北港地區少數的大型餐廳之一，除了提供婚慶宴會訂席之外，平時亦提供小型聚餐及經濟中式海產料理，也有外送及外燴服務。在北港地區小吃林立的飲食文化裡，青松餐廳秉持一貫的料理風格，所以在地方上一直擁有屹立不搖的地位。餐廳並沒有附設停車場，所以都是停在路邊。 拍攝當天是小舅子的訂婚宴，喜宴菜單依出菜順序為：韓松全雞福、帶子vs烏魚子、蟹肉魚翅、焗烤鮮龍蝦、紅蟳珍米糕、鵝掌鮮鮑魚、煙燻圓鱈魚、法式羊小排、鮸魚肚火鍋、綜合水果盤、涼糕vs奶黃包、冰糖雪蓮子，因為老婆幫忙拍攝兩家訂婚繁複的過程，大量耗費攝影機電力，所以喜宴中最後三道的水果、甜點、甜湯沒有辦法入鏡，成為遺珠之憾。餐廳的「魚肚」是北港人宴客必點的菜餚，吃起來像白木耳羹湯一樣，非常鮮甜，台灣有句俗話說：「有錢吃鮸、沒錢免吃」，鮸指的就是鮸魚肚，吃魚肚是早年有錢人的美食專利，現在已經是大眾化的平民美食。一人一份的焗烤鮮龍蝦是女兒珊珊最愛吃的一道菜，起司包覆滿滿的龍蝦肉，香軟可口。所有的菜，色、香、味俱全，吃得到新鮮。
A family restaurant in Yunlin is celebrating more than 70 years of classic Taiwanese cuisine. The duck restaurant serves soups and duck rice the same way they were once sold on bamboo shoulder poles. Visitors to the nearby temple say a trip is wasted if you miss this hidden gem. Diners crowd both sides of this alley near Beigang Chaotian Temple. The open-air seating is pretty simple, but customers come in droves as if it were a Michelin restaurant. The duck rice and tripe soup are must-tries. Some people order one after another. Yang Ming-chuan Duck restaurant owner If kids don’t want to eat, they change their mind if it’s food from us. The rice is steamed to succulent perfection in wooden steaming baskets. On top is drizzled a little duck fat, tender duck shavings and an appetizing dash of sauce. Mix it all together before tucking in. The duck plate is full of juicy, plump and flavorful cuts. After my dad finished his military service, he would push a cart up and down the street selling it. This rich fare is not for the faint of heart. We’re introducing old-school Taiwanese flavors to the world. The eatery is not just a haven for locals. The Baishatun Mazu Pilgrimage is usually held annually between lunar January and April in the western plains of Taiwan, a major Taoist religious event since 1863. After every lunar new year, the Mazu statue of Gongtian Temple at Baishatun, Tongxiao of Miaoli County, is placed in a palanquin and carried in procession to visit another Mazu Temple- Chaotian Temple, located in the area of Beigang of Yunlin County, then returns to Gongtian Temple to end this pilgrimage. The distance covered is approximately 400 km total. There is another Mazu statue, called "Mazu of the Mountain Side", from Houlong Township of Miaoli county, that would accompany Baishatun Mazu during the pilgrimage as well. Mazu, also spelled as "Matsu", known as a sea goddess who blesses the fishermen with a safe journey during sailing, is widely revered by believers in Taiwan because of her merciful image.Therefore, the Mazu pilgrimage is one of the popular religious activities in Taiwan. During the whole pilgrimage, Mazu's palanquin carriers go forward only on foot. Many pilgrims would follow the steps of Mazu's palanquin, traditionally following by walking, but regardless, plenty of the pilgrims would travel by scooter, car, or bicycle. Moreover, the duration and route of Baishatun pilgrimage are not the same in different years, such as 6 days and 5 nights in 2009, versus 12 days and 11 nights in 2017. The most unique feature of the Baishatun pilgrimage is the route. No matter how it departs or returns, the route is unpredictable, and changes each time. Supposedly, Mazu's palanquin carriers stated that they held the ability to feel Mazu's will, and that she indicated to them the next direction or where to stop while they were walking. Transfer Temple or Tianhou Temple was its previous name. Thus, it was renamed Chaotian Temple to honor Mazu Temple (Chaotian Building) in Meizhou, China. Due to its widespread renown, Chaotian Temple has replaced more than 300 other Taiwanese temples that worship Mazu as the main temple (the Goddess). The temple is a magnificent structure. Tianshan Shengmu, Guanshiyin Buddha, and spirits like Qianliyan (the spirit who can see extremely far) and Shunfeng'er are worshipped at the temple (the Spirit who can hear very far). renowned artists created wood carving on the poles, beams, and other elements. The four stone dragon sculptures that make up the temple's four poles are magnificent and animated. An arch web-shaped traditional well exists. Everything from the facial expressions of characters on windows to the massive dragon poles demonstrates exceptional craftsmanship. It does really blend religion with the arts in a classic way. All throughout the year, a large number of people visit Beigang's Chaotian Temple to worship. The biggest religious celebration takes place from Chinese New Year to March of the lunar year. Numerous followers of religion and temples connected to them travel to Beigang around Mazu's birthday (March 23 of the lunar year) to celebrate. There is a parade in Beigang, and the action is of great magnitude. The area is crowded and alive with the sounds of traditional Chinese instruments being played.
