This category was a really fun challenge to take on now that I have just recently returned to Cuphead in preparation for the DLC. I think collecting the heart to give yourself that extra hitpoint to help with the 3/3 HP Bonus for S ranks and to damage boost through the P rank levels more is a massive help. This time could definitely be improved, there is a lot of difficult fights and ways to save time as well as some very RNG heavy bosses that can outright kill the run or give you a massive time save. Once you know which weapons to use and the tricks behind his phases, he's not as bad as some of the other bosses. If you still can't beat Grim Matchstick, maybe watching this will help. Trying to S Rank Djimmi the Great in Cuphead? He's a real pain in the behind if you don't know what you're doing. To be honest, Djimmi isn't one of my favourites. I like the fact that he's a genie and he has that whole egyptian aesthetic, which is nice, but there are way better bosses in Cuphead. A big part of why he's so frustrating isn't he isn't that hard, but he has SO many phases! It's an endurance slog not unlike King Dice. And that stupid stupid Cuppet phase. Remember, to S Rank Hilda, you need... 1. to beat the level in less than 2 minutes 2. to finish the level with 3 HP 3. to parry 3 times 4. to use 6 bars of super 5. to play on expert mode. In this video I'll show you how to beat the boss Howling Aces for the newly released "The Delicious Last Course DLC" for Cuphead. Throughout the boss fight I'll get the S Rank / Grade which is the highest Grade available which is only obtainable on Expert mode. To get the S Grade you'll need to beat the boss in under 2 minutes, keep at least 3 hp although I'll take no damage whilst playing, get at least 3 successful parries and use 6 super moves (full meter counts as 5). Clip Joint Calamity is surprisingly tough for an Isle 1 boss, and one of the first bosses of expert mode where you start seeing some significant changes. Still, he's one of my favourite cuphead bosses in the entire game because of the music, the design, and just how fun it is. If you can't figure out how to get an s rank on these frogs, just watch away. I explain the best way to deal with all three dreaded slot machine phases without taking a hit. Cuphead - S Rank Guide - Put On a Show Achievement Guide - Get an S-Rank Buy Cuphead: 🤍 This is an affiliate link, and the channel will be compensated for any purchases made through it. More Cuphead: 🤍 Subscribe: 🤍 In order to earn an S Rank, you must play on Expert difficulty which is unlocked after completing the game on Normal. Once you've completed the game, you can revisit The Root Pack and play on Expert. This is the easiest boss battle in the game, and I would recommend using the Spread for Shot-B and Super Art I (Energy Beam) as you'll be able to complete the level faster. In order to earn the S Rank, you must complete the boss on Expert in a certain amount of time (under 2 minutes), with Full Health (3/3), Max Parry (3/3), and Max Super Meter (6/6). On Expert difficulty the boss battles should feel fimiliar although some things are changed. The speed of the battle is increased significantly, so everything becomes extremely fast. Additionally, the boss gains about 25%-50% more health. Thomas the undead tank engine here was a real pain in my behind when I was doing my challenge run (🤍 but he's really not too bad if you have the right equipment. Even S Ranking the Phantom Express isn't too hard because it's easy to get tons of parries and he doesn't have much life. Preferred loadout: Roundabout/Peashooter Spread P.Sugar (REQUIRED) As long as you have the auto parry sugar, this boss becomes a cakewalk. You'll be able to move the platform at will and trivialize all those pesky enemies trying to jerk you around. The final phase is still tough, but you just have to keep practicing to get through it. Rules Hater% 200% On a clean file, earn 200% completion with all S & P ranks using only the peashooter for a weapon (machine gun during plane levels). Peashooter/Machine Gun EXs are allowed. No Supers (not including the plane nuke) or Charms are allowed. Also to make less haters complain, there's some special rules like: Beat all king-dice minibosses in one go while getting S rank and without getting hit. Saving barber guy Don't use door glitch at funhouse frazzle stage Don't use menu to leave kettle house tutorial and plane tutorial Don't use hidden hitboxes ( like beppi and honeybottom hidden hitbox under the stage ) Don't do the pause glitch on Wally Warbles's last phase. Don't shoot at all on run and gun stages, going full-pacifist route! You are required to use the Fresh Expert Glitch. Rules DLC Hater% 100% In addition to above rules now 100% of DLC has to be achieved (300% total) by using fresh Expert Glitch, following these special rules: - Must be played as Cuphead or Mugman. - You can only use the cookie charm to grab the coin from the chalice tutorial. - Each chess piece from King's Leap has to be clear hitless as well as the Gauntlet to earn King's admiration. - Devil/Angel boss need to be beaten hitless. - In order to upgrade cursed relic into divine relic, each boss from DLC has to be defeated with it (Expert). - Get 'S' Rank using only the peashooter for a weapon (Machine gun during plane levels). - Get the All Gold Scores on score screens (including Run 'n Guns) with the exception of Funfair Fever. - Do not buy any Item, except for the broken relic. Played on PC. Had a few of my IL records beaten recently and decided to get this one back! Played on Current Patch (1.3) with Whetstone as my charm. Definitely could be a little faster as I whiffed on a few Whetstone hits, but RNG is a pain on this fight and I'm happy to take the record back by a few seconds.

Cuphead - The Delicious Last course is finally out! And it only costs $7.99! Isn't that too cheap?! But I'm happy; I've been looking forward to this for four years, and they delivered some high quality content. The DLC introduces a new storyline where Cuphead and Mugman travel to Inkwell Isle IV, where they meet Chef Saltbaker. He tells them they can make Ms. Chalice "as real as can be" if they collect the ingredients to make a Wondertart. And so they set off, killing everyone they can find in the hopes of making Ms. Chalice real. In addition to all of the new bosses in the DLC, you also get to play as Ms. Chalice. She works a little differently than Cuphead; for starters, in order to play as her, you have to equip the Astral Cookie charm. This means you can't use any other charm, so no more smoke bomb or extra health. Ms. Chalice has one extra hit point, though, which means you can get hit once and still S-rank a stage. She can also double jump, and she parries by dashing into things. She also has a crouch dash, but I haven't made much use of it. I find her more fun to play as, thanks to her extra mobility - and I like how she can't rely on the smoke bomb to dash through things. It keeps you honest. There are a few new weapons, too. In this video, I use the Crackshot and Converge here and there. I especially like the Crackshot, the turret it shoots out as its special attack can be very useful. There's also the Whirlwind, but I'm not sure what boss it's especially useful on yet. I'll have to experiment with it. Naturally, I'd say if you enjoyed Cuphead, then don't think twice about grabbing the DLC. It makes an already great game quite a bit better.
